China Turns Soviet Aircraft Carrier Into Luxury Hotel

China has acquired a 1,000-foot vessel called Kiev and transformed it into a luxury aircraft carrier hotel that claims to be the world's first.

It would be interesting to note that back in the 1980s the vessel was highly appreciated by the Soviet Navy. It was one of the pearls of the Soviet Northern Fleet.

After Tianjin International Recreation Port bought the aircraft carrier, it turned it into a world-class floating hotel with 148 rooms, two of which are presidential suites, 3 are VIP guest rooms and 137 standard rooms.

The ship has been bought over ten years ago (when it was used as a weapon of war) and since then it has been equipped with luxury restaurant and a myriad of other features that make it a great place to spend your free time and relax.

By the end of January the vessel is expected to start receiving visitors.
