Coffee Featuring Viagra Found in Malaysia

Share

It was reported Sunday that Malaysian authorities managed to seize 900 boxes of coffee mixed with Viagra. A company based in Kuala Lumpur was inspected by officials from the Health Ministry.

According to The New Straits Times, the company has been selling the coffee as an energy booster (read about the health problems linked with energy drinks at infoniac.com). There is no information on whether the firm mentioned on its package the word Viagra.

It was unveiled that the 900 confiscated boxes included about 9,000 coffee packets. The overall worth of the Viagra-mixed coffee was over 72,000 Ringgits ($20,325). Before being raided, the company already managed to distribute its Viagra-laced coffee.

It is worth mentioning that Viagra is considered legal in Malaysia, but in order to get it one needs to have a prescription. Although it helps men get an erection it can also lead to heart problems, which can occur as a result of taking Viagra along with other medications.
