Farmer Left His $2M Estate to Small Church

A man, who lived in a mobile home, gave $2 million to a small church located in western Pennsylvania.

John Ferguson decided to donate his whole estate to Hopewell United Methodist Church, which is found near a small town called Black Lick, reported The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

John Ferguson was a farmer. He attended the church till January 2007, the day Mr. Ferguson passed away at the age of 71. Since then the generous gift has been in probate.

Hopewell United Methodist Church includes 80 members. According to pastor Jason McQueen, a board of congregation members will select projects to be funded each year from the income gained by Ferguson's estate.
