Malaysia Offers Free of Charge Honeymoons to Save Marriages

Having the goal of saving marriages, the Malaysian state government came up with the idea of offering free honeymoons to couples that are on the edge of splitting up.

According to Ashaari Idris, a government official in northern Terengganu state, couples will have the possibility to revive their relationship while spending two nights at the picturesque islands or beach resorts of Malaysia. Thus the state hopes to help couples revive their romance and save their marriage.

'Second Honeymoon' program was launched by the state government to "resolve marital problems and to create models of exemplary families," said Ashaari, who also mentioned that couples who decide to enroll in the program will also have to undergo counseling, reports Metro.co.uk.
