Mumbai to Feature World's Tallest Residential Structure

Lodha Developers from Mumbai recently stated that the company will team up with Pei Cobb Free & Partners and Leslie E Robertson Associates, two companies with headquarters in New York, to create the world's tallest residential building. The skyscraper will be erected in Mumbai, India.

The new structure will be called World One and will include 117 stores. World One will be constructed on a territory of 17 acres and will be 450-meters tall.

It would be interesting to note that the building will be complemented by two towers and will provide 300 exclusive 3-4 bedroom flats, villas with private swimming pools and several duplex suites, reports The Wall Street Journal.

The cost of the project is estimated at $425 million. The World One is expected to be finished by 2014. The price for the most inexpensive unit in the skyscraper will be $1.5 million. Among the eco-friendly features of the building there's water harvesting and recycling system, VRV air-conditioning system and solar energy harnessing.
