Sex Offender Posed as 12yo Boy to Attend Schools

The 30-year-old Neil Havens Rodreick II was found guilty of possessing child porn and other charges after he enrolled in one of the US schools posed as a 12-year-old boy.

The sex offender attended several schools in Arizona. Despite the fact that authorities found no proof that the man committed any offences, police found in his home a large collection of porn.

A plea agreement documents that the Associated Press obtained stated that, though Rodreick faced 28 charges, the Yavapai Country Superior Court in northern Arizona found the man guilty of 7 of them.

The man was found guilty to 4 counts of sexual exploitation of an underage stemming from the porn and one count each of failure to register as a sex offender, fraud and physical attack. The man attended schools since 2005. According to the authorities he was a "student" at Surprise, Payson and Prescott Valley.

Rodreick shaved and wore pancake makeup so he would look younger. Thus he was able to convince teachers, students and schools' administrations that he was a 12-year-old boy whose name was Casey.

The sex offender was caught in 2007 shortly after school officials became doubtful about the paperwork of a "student from the seventh grade". The man was then arrested together with three other criminals who pretended to be his relatives: one posed as his cousin, one was playing the role of Casey's uncle and the third pretended to be his grandfather.

The Yavapai County Attorney Sheila Polk, based on the terms of the plea deal, stated that Rodreick must be kept behind bars not less than 70 years and 6 months. The Associated Press announced that the trial for Rodreick's accomplices will start on November 19.
