South Korea Sets Up World Record for the World's Tallest LEGO Skyscraper

Now the world's tallest LEGO tower is found in Seoul, South Korea. The skyscraper, called the LEGO World Tower, was erected to mark the 80th birthday of the famous company that brought the world these wonderful and magic LEGO pieces.

The tower is 104.65 feet high, which makes it the highest in the world after it surpassed the LEGO tower built in France that was 103.67 feet high.

In order to assemble portions of the tower, 4,000 children were engaged. They worked for 5 days and finally made a LEGO skyscraper composed of more than 50,000 LEGO blocks of different colors.

It is worth mentioning that the portions of the tower were assembled in a temporary pavilion and then stacked atop each other. The construction was set up outside Seoul's Olympic City complex.

The final LEGO brick was attached to the tower by the Crown Prince of Denmark himself, who visited South Korea to take part in the record-breaking event.

It would be interesting to note that LEGO is one of the most popular toy brands in South Korean and boasts a high presence in other Asian countries.
