Technology Makes People Happy, Study Says

A global study carried out by British Computer Society showed that technology is one of the things that make people happy. It also found that women benefit from it more than men.

Michael Willmott, a social scientist and the author of the research, said that the analysis performed by the team shows that people with IT access express more satisfaction even "when taking account of income."

The reports entitled "The Information Dividend: Can IT make you happier?" is based on a study of the World Values Survey. It features reactions from over 35,000 people worldwide. The report concludes that women benefit more from the use of technology, and that females from developing countries express more satisfaction than those in the developed, informs TG Daily.

The team explains that this is most likely due to the fact that women play a more central role in family life and IT allows them to manage their responsibilities easier.
