UAE Billionaire's Name Visible from Space

What would you do in case you were a billionaire? There are multiple choices but probably the most unexpected way of spending your capital would be carving your name on an island so it could be seen from space. This is exactly what a billionaire from the UAE did.

Hamad Bin Hamdan Al Ahyan, one of the members of the Abu Dhabi Ruling Family in the UAE had his name carved on an island near Abu Dhabi. His goal wanted to makes "HAMAD" visible from space. To do this, letters were made about 500 meters long (1,640 feet) and the whole name extends over a territory of 3 kilometers. It is worth mentioning that the name was carved on the billionaire's own island.

It would be interesting to note that Al Ahyan, aka Rainbow Sheikh, is one of the world's richest people and his island called Al Futaisi is located off the coast of Abu Dhabi.

He is the owner of the most expensive vehicle in the world - a custom-made Bugatti L'Or Blanc outfitted with a porcelain caviar tray. Al Ahyan is also believed to have the world's largest collection of exotic cars and trucks - about 200 models - which now can be observed in the National Museum.

A very intriguing thing is that no one really knows how the name was inscribed on the billionaire's island. After the work was finished the member of the Royal Family posted the image of the name on his Facebook page. It was said that the letters do not wash away due to the fact that they form waterways.
