New World Record for Continuous Movie Watching is Now 57 Movies in 123 Hours

Share

A man from Toronto and a woman from Germany claim they have broken the world record for uninterrupted movie watching. It took 123 hours and 57 movies for Suresh Joachim and Claudia Wavra to break the record.

The two watched the films in a plastic-glass house located in Big Apple's Times Square. According to the spokesman for the Guinness Book of Records both participants presumably broke the world record but because a verification of the record is required the final result will be announced in two weeks.

It is worth mentioning that the challenge started October 2, with eight participants who sat down comfortably and began watching the first movie entitled "Iron Man". It took 72 hours until only two contestants remained. Both watched "Thelma and Louise" and ended their race in 3:10 p.m. October 7.

The rules of the competition were to watch each movie until the last credit rolled and the eyes of each competitor should not divert from the screen. All contestants had the possibility to take a 10 minute break between the movies.
