In the era of cyber world the word "virus" is not so often used to denote a human virus as a computer virus. Everyone who has a PC and an Internet connection is almost obliged to use some protection measures, which are striving to protect the user from malicios software as hard as they can, but in most of the cases, they do not always succeed. Let's try to find out, which antivirus software, in your opinion, is failing not as much as other programs do. What antivirus software, in your opinion, is a worthy protection tool against everything bad that comes from the Inernet?

- I use the Windows Defender Max Security and I'm on Windows 10 Pro so it's even better than the normal windows 10 and duh better than windows 10 home so yeah everybody might think that Windows Defender sucks but it doesn't it's very good plus with Windows 10 Pro it's even better than normal! it's like an ultra anti-virus and anti-malware and it's built Windows when you buy your new pc so yeah Windows Defender is the best if it's on maximum security with don't forget Windows 10 Pro!!!
ps: don't think of this the wrong way you think I'm saying this comment :/ - 68 votes

- This is from my experience
best to worst in order-
microsoft security essential is by far the best in terms of detection and removal
next is bitdefender , at par with micro sec essntl, but 2012 version is very silent
next is kaspersky which is also good but slows system down terribly ,especially its advanced disinfection service
next is norton , no slowing down the pc, good detection, but crashes with errors frequently
next is avast but its overimposing GUI freezes often and many compatibility issues
avira frequently detects innocent programs as virus(heuristics)
malwarebytes and superantispyware detects wrong system settings as virus
comodo is very good but only in the hands of a computer expert - 82 votes

- If using Windows OS then there is always a risk & no place for free or trial version anti virus...
AVG & AVAST both makes ur pc slow day by day...
Avira good for virus but not for malewares...
Kaspersky very good detects well but not good for internet security...
I am using QUICK-HEAL TOTAL SECURITY... Detects better than other even those viruses which wasn't detect by others... Detects malwares... Pc works as fast as new... Repares the effected files without deleting them... Its does'nt quarentines much but repares & delets the virus & malewares... - 83 votes

- There is no perfect virus. There is only complementary sollutions. I do use Avira virus monitor. Every month I uninstall Avira, install AVG, Nod32 at a time.
I also scan every 2 weeks with Flobo System Repair in order to remove virus effect and improve my Windows Xp system. - 74 votes

- I am sorry but you poor persons , i feel so sorry for you when your pc's break .
I mean AVG ?? it will not even help you a little bit , yes it will detect a virus , but what about hackers o phishing sites
AVAST! ? bad bad bad bad
Nod 32 ? will help in all cases but what about a nast big worm ?
Mcafee ? just another icon in the security world
comodo ? HIPS is the nice part , AV is the bad part
comodo will not even pick up the eicar test file
Norton ? work for windows 98 !
Zonealalrm is the only best FIREWALL out there !! ( zonealarm best firewall 3 years in a row )
Kaspersky is the only best AV !!
If you argue with me or this post be warned and don't trust the nice appearance of a Security Program !! - 78 votes

- Avast or Avira AntiVir work quite well. AntiVir being the ONLY one to get a 10/10 from Cnet.
Norton/Symantec and Mcafee are a bane on the IT industry. I fixed more issues with those 2 programs than any virii/spyware I ever encountered. - 60 votes
