Latest Invention: Fashion Glasses Made from Human Hair


A duet of graduate students from London's Royal College of Art have come up with an original way of using human hair - they decided to used it to create a collection of fashion glasses.

Alexander Groves and Azuka Murakami (known as Studio Swine) entitled their invention simply "Hair Glasses".

They used human hair in combination with bioresin, which plays the role of a biding agent, to make frames for their glasses. Thus the invention is 100 percent biodegradable. Besides, no hazardous substances are released during production.

Studio Swine's Hair Glasses were officially presented at the 2011Royal College of Art graduate exhibition that finished up on July 3, 2011.
