Latest Invention: Windows that Produce Electricity from Sunlight

If you like this invention you can vote for it.Peer+, a Dutch firm, has presented Smart Energy Glasses for windows. The invention makes uses of the company's new Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) technology, which allows glasses to produce renewable energy.
In addition, the energy-producing windows allow changing their transparency level. The "Privacy Mode" allows users to achieve the lowest level of transparency for their glass. With a trick of the optics used, the glass provides a more efficient power production from solar input.
Besides being able to change the shades for the glass, the new product also allows incorporating logos or text into the panels.
According to the Dutch firm, their latest invention represents an organic product that can transform light into energy, informs Springwise.
Peer+ has currently given no information on the amount of power its new glass can generate, but it is known that the produced energy is enough for cell phone use.
