New-Gen Contact Lens Brings Augmented Reality Into Your Eye


Augmented reality is becoming more popular and is continuously being implemented in a variety of applications.

Together with his students from the University of Washington, Professor Babak Amir Parviz decided to bring AR to human body by creating augmented contact lens that introduces the AR technology right into the human eye.

The lens uses sensors and wireless tech to allow bionic eyesight.

The new-generation augmented reality contact lens makes it possible for users to monitor their heart by making use of tiny circuits and LEDs.

It is possible that the AR lenses could revolutionize medical science.

They could also be widely used in the entertainment field.
