Women With Greater Emotional Intelligence Enjoy Sex More

According to a new research, intelligent women get more pleasure from sex than women with an average intelligence index. Scientists analyzed 2,035 female twins aged between 18 and 33 and found that those who had greater emotional intelligence (EI) had more orgasms. EI is the self-perceived ability, to monitor, evaluate, and control the emotions of one's self, of others, and of groups.

Scientists picked twins in order to separate genetic and environmental risk factors. The results of the study show that emotional intelligence plays the main role in a woman's orgasmic disorder. The latter is one of women's most widespread sexual problems. Statistics show that about a third of women suffer from the impossibility to reach climax during intercourse.

According to Professor Tim Spector, director of the Twin Research Department at King's College London, who is also the co-author of the research, this study is a great step towards the development of behavioral and cognitive therapies that would help improve women's sexual lives.

During the study all participants were asked to complete a questionnaire, providing detailed information about their sexual behavior and performance. In addition, women who took part in the study answered questions that were developed to estimate their EI. Researchers discovered an important association between emotional intelligence and the occurrence of orgasm that takes place both during masturbation and sexual intercourse, reports The Daily Telegraph.

The research and its results were published in The Journal of Sexual Medicine.

The study's lead researcher, psychologist Andrea Burri, from King's College said that EI can influence a woman's ability to converse her sexual desires to her sexual partner, thus having a direct impact on women's sexual performace. She also mentioned that there was a possible link with a woman's ability to fantasize during sex.

Its about Emotiotional intelligence, not IQ...)) It has nothing to do with your intellect... Its the ability to control your emotions and understand them. And of course this ability helps you to understand your emotional life better and gives more satisfaction....

in addition to being rudely written, this study has many holes. first of all, it looks at emotional intelligence rather than general IQ. secondly, the wording of the questions was ambiguous, using words like frequently and overall. third, they only sampled 2000 or so people. it's been making the rounds suggesting that women who don't enjoy sex for whatever reason may be unintelligent, which is a nasty nasty thing.

Totally lost any credibility you may have had with that first sentence.

Watch your framing. It's not good to insult your audience in the first sentence.
