It is not about Banning skinny people, it is about trying to save the lives of young girls who are starving themselves for the sake of fashion

It is not only the media and designers that have brought this sad situation about, it is also the general public. To me there is little difference between skinny girls who aren't looking after their bodies and denying their health and those at the other end of the scale who are obese, neither really cares for themselves nor posesses personal pride. Bring back the days of Marilyn Munroes and the like where a womens figure was allowed to be full (but not fat) and curvaceous and maybe there will be a change in public attititude. This is the responsibility of the designers, they initiate the market trends for the masses (lets be fair no-one with any decorum wears some of the freak stuff from the catwalk in real life) and they too can sway the "way" women look and what is acceptable, maybe its just a power thing to be able to make someone want to starve themselves to death just to get a job modelling....very sad !!!!

it would be better for everyone to stop eating meat anyway so instead of eating meat we could use eggs for protein although i am very sad to admit this because i just love love loooovee to eat meat. ^_^
also think of all the childeren who are dying because they dont have enough to buy food. look at us i mean like were suffering from obesity!!!!
The US is suffering from obesity because were so lazy now that we machines to do the work for us. But the people in those countries are starving to death and they work by hand. i mean like were getting fatter by the minute and the other countries are starving how lame is that i feel greedy and guilty. i just hate that feeling. anyway so likee yeah

If we stopped eating meat, there would be a lot more grain and land for farming. The amount of grain it takes to make one pound of beef could feed 40 people. It's time to stop averting the "annoying vegetarian argument" and face the facts: eating meat deprives others of valueable food.

Think about it. Is your burger really worth it?

Food, energy and water are the only wealth that matters, until this simple fact is
widely accepted there can be no solution to the food crisis. It is my contention that
the governments will never take a logical approach to the food crisis because it is
unprofitable (the poor have a negative value to them) and the corporations will not
allow it. Any solution will have to come from the billions of people worldwide that
are not members of the elite.

The problem is atmospheric carbon, the solution is water, some places have
too much and others too little. If we pump the water from areas that have
too much water to the arid regions for irrigation we could actually lower
the concentration of atmospheric carbon. I offer as proof the NOAA CO2 chart

that CO2 levels drop by 6 ppm every northern hemisphere summer. I attribute

of carbon would have to be added to the atmosphere to keep the carbon level
at that point. If carbon were allowed to drop below a set limit it would
trigger an ice age.

Cheap rafts made from waste plastic bottles

oceans and produce energy at the same time. There are millions of square
miles of arid land (expanding daily) that could be used to grow vegetation
if only enough pure water were made available, the rafts could supply all
the water needed. Since the rafts would cover millions of square miles of
ocean they would lower the water temperature and provide a breeding
sanctuary from overfishing.

The reclaimed desert areas would provide small farms for refugees and the
homeless. Since the islands can be made at almost no cost using simple hand
tools there would be jobs for billions of third world workers and ensuring
that they have good food, clean water and adequate housing. If the rich
nations do not want to give up their lifestyle then they had better take
notice of the world around them and fix the problem.

There's always the secnario of Jesus Christ where he comes to save his chosen people and to begin the battle of Armageddon.

Or theres also the zombie idea where some incurable disease causes savagery to rule over the mind of the afflicted causing them to become bloodhtirsty and attack each other.

And the world could even destroy itself by some mad scientist who just wants to watch the world burn.

3. It is quite strange to see that people worry more about the way they die than about the way they live. Is our living so bad or it’s just easier to imagine something bad than to look for possible solutions of existing problems? We can make guesses. Starting from Adam and Eve people wanted to know what they were not supposed to know. Unknown always attracted us, no one can deny that. But still such apocalyptic scenarios should be better used in film-making. They can hardly help us to solve our everyday problems.
