Striptease

The Ministry of Sound Recordings commissioned and made an ad that was considered 'sexually provocative' by the Advertising Standards Authority. The advert, showing extracts from a music video, was meant to be downloaded to cell phones, and was broadcast on The Hits Channel. It showed men and women wearing school uniforms and dancing in front of a school building. A woman then showed a striptease in a classroom for one of the men, exposing her underwear.

The ASA received some viewers' complains that children may have been watching the striptease. The ASA said that the ad should have been broadcast with time restrictions, especially taking into consideration the growing concern of the sexualisation of children.
